Our Brief
Crosses & Medals is a US-based company that specializes in high-quality religious jewellery, perfect for gifting. The company had been running an online store on the WooCommerce platform (WordPress) but was facing multiple issues with the website’s functionality, which were impacting their customer experience and resulting in a poor conversion rate. Immediately it was clear that we needed to move platforms to Shopify and create a better user experience for customers. A distraction-free purchasing environment with better navigation and filtering in the hope that we could engage customers and generate more sales.
Working with the Crosses & Medals team, we migrated over 40,000 products from their WooCommerce store to Shopify. The team evaluated the product range offering time-efficient ways to improve the grouping of products to make sure that filtering within the new website would be set up accurately from day one.
Our development team had to create some bespoke extensions to the product pages to enable customers to choose products that are variants of the same item. The team also developed a custom Shopify app that sends orders directly to Crosses & Medals’ fulfilment company. After the migration and development, we also provided cross-platform support to assist Crosses & Medals in reactivating customer accounts within the new Shopify platform.
Our approach
The migration of the Crosses & Medals website to the Shopify platform, including the simplification of the product range and the development of custom extensions, is having a positive impact on the business.
With the launch of the new store we also supported with some PPC campaigns within Google which are currently hitting between 2 and 5 ROAS per month. The AOV (average order value) also continues to increase from £65, to £85 over recent months. The website is now far more accessible to navigate, and the checkout process is smoother. Using Rebuy on the cart is also supporting us with the results we have shared above.
With the newly developed app that sends orders directly to their fulfillment company, Crosses & Medals were able to streamline its order management process, thereby increasing their efficiency and effectiveness. It has made a previously manual task, no longer needed.
